The Arab Republic of Egypt is located in the far north-east of the continent of Africa, bordered to the north by the south-east coast of the Mediterranean Sea and overlooking the Red Sea to the east. It has an Asian extension. The Sinai Peninsula is located in Asia. It is an intercontinental country. Its area is 1,002,450 km 2 With a population of 90.526.613 million, according to statistics of the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics for March 2016

The investment climate in Egypt witnessed many important legislative and institutional reforms that have had a significant impact on the increase of domestic, Arab and foreign investments, in addition to the increase in net foreign direct investment flows. The Ministry of Investment has adopted several policies aimed at simplifying procedures and facilitating investors. The first is the issuance of the Presidential Decree No. 17 of 2015 amending certain provisions of the Law on Investment Guarantees and Incentives No. 8 of 1997, as well as the issuance of the Prime Minister's Decision No. 1820 of 2015 Regulations of the law.
